A day after Bangladesh’s incredible win over New Zealand in Mount Maunganui, the domestic first-class final, too, culminated in a longer-version spectacle in Dhaka. Central Zone lifted their third BCL title, beating favourites South Zone by four wickets in a tense final day.With his second hundred in the match, veteran Shuvagata Hom took Central Zone to the winning 218-run target after the side slipped to 68 for 6. وبين البطولتين، تمكن المنتخب الأرجنتيني من تحقيق لقب كأس العالم في قطر، بملعب لوسيل على حساب فرنسا بركلات الترجيح، بعد انتهاء الوقت الأصلي والإضافي 3-3.

Abel Braga voltou do intervalo com Jhon Arias e Germán Cano nos lugares de Samuel Xavier e Fred. Com a bola em momento de criação, Nino chegou a ficar como lateral, liberando Yago Felipe na ala. Por mais que Enderson demorou até mesmo para tentar responder às ações de Abel Braga, o cenário era de pressão para jovens garotos – alguns, inclusive, vivenciando um jogo dessa dimensão pela primeira vez na carreira.

O futuro indica mudanças no Glorioso, contudo. Enderson Moreira está com a “água no pescoço” e pode ser demitido por John Textor, que quer um novo treinador para liderar o projeto de reconstrução do Alvinegro. O próximo passo, consequentemente, é o anúncio de reforços.

But it’s in the attacking midfield that Chelsea got their best bargain of the summer, signing Cole Palmer from Manchester City for a fee of around £40m (plus £2.5m add-ons).

In Palmer’s first season at the club, he beat all expectations that were placed on him following his move from City, scoring a simply ludicrous haul of 25 goals and providing 15 assists in 45 games. His first season at the club saw the Englishman play a mixture of right-wing and attacking midfield.

The 22-year-old has started this season in the same rich vein of form, scoring seven goals and providing five assists in his 13 games played.

Under Enzo Maresca, Palmer is now being primarily used as the number ten, with added build-up responsibilities, and a license to roam and pick up the ball in different areas on the pitch.

However, Chelsea are being linked with a move for a very talented attacking midfielder, which could see Palmer shift back to the right-wing, in order to get both into the same side.

According to reports from French outlet Foot Mercato, Rayan Cherki’s asking price has now been revealed. Amid interest from Chelsea, the Lyon attacking midfielder is likely to cost around £29m.

The 21-year-old, who is said to bring “Eden Hazard vibes” by Sky Sports’ Dougie Critchley, has made 11 appearances in all competitions for Lyon this season, scoring two goals, providing three assists, and totalling 614 minutes of action.

As we can see, Cherki is an extremely creative number ten type, averaging a whopping 8.38 progressive passes and 3.97 key passes per 90, doing much of his best work in “zone 14” (the term used to describe the central area outside the 18-yard-box).

By shifting Palmer over to the right side, and starting Cherki as the number ten, Chelsea would have two of the best pocket players in the league at their disposal, receiving between the lines, and creating chances for their fellow forwards.

However, off-ball work and defensive schemes would possibly suffer, as neither player are too well known for their pressing work.

Maresca would have other problems to solve to make this work in his off-ball set-ups, but the prospect of a Palmer and Cherki central duo at times (Palmer drifting inside from the right) is a mouth-watering one, and one that other Premier League sides would be extremely worried about when defending.

MANDANTES SEGUIAM EM BUSCA DE AMPLIAR O PLACAR

Com o tempo passando, o alviazul não dava espaço para que o adversário mostrasse força para recuperar-se no placar. Mesmo após a pausa para hidratação, seguiu melhor em campo ficando mais com a posse de bola, além de pressionar mais, porém sem sucesso.

Bangladesh are set to tour South Africa for three ODIs and two Tests starting in March 2022 as part of the ODI Super League and the World Test Championships respectively.The tour will start with the ODIs, scheduled on March 18, 20 and 23. The first and third matches will be hosted by SuperSport Park in Centurion while the second game, which will be a pink day match to raise awareness for breast cancer treatment, will be held at the Wanderers in Johannesburg.Bangladesh tour of South Africa

Bangladesh are currently in the second position in the ODI Super League with 80 points. They have the three-match ODI series against Afghanistan at home too before they embark on the South Africa tour. South Africa meanwhile are languishing in 10th position with 39 points, with three wins in 10 games.The visitors will then play their first Test in Durban, from March 31. It will be their first appearance at the venue since their only match in 2003, when they lost to Canada in the World Cup. They will play the second Test in St George’s Park in Gqeberha from April 8.South Africa are currently in fourth place in the WTC points table after their 2-1 win over India. Bangladesh are in seventh place after their 1-1 draw against New Zealand.They beat the defending world champions in a miraculous performance at the start of the year in Mount Maunganui. Bangladesh have never beaten South Africa at homr in any format.
