Both touring sides will play two Tests against Zimbabwe each, and take part in a T20I tri-series

Zimbabwe will host South Africa and New Zealand for two-Test series and also a T20I triangular series between June 28 and August 11. In what Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) managing director Givemore Makoni called “the biggest international home season we have had in years”, Zimbabwe would be playing Test cricket against South Africa for the first time since December 2017 (and hosting them for the first time after August 2014) and against New Zealand after August 2016, when New Zealand had toured Zimbabwe.The season starts with the Test series against South Africa, with both matches taking place in Bulawayo, from June 28 and July 6.This will be followed by the T20I tri-series. A solução estava no próprio elenco, mas já mostrava o sinal de alerta sobre futuras reposições. Até porque, Scarpa já havia assinado pré-contrato com o Nottingham Forest-ING e deixaria o Alviverde no fim do ano.

Pensando nisso, a diretoria e a comissão técnica buscaram uma reposição antecipada e viram em Bruno Tabata, que atuava pelo Sporting-POR, um potencial substituto para a futura saída de Scarpa. Apesar de não ser meia, sua entrada no time preencheu a lacuna deixada por Scarpa no 11 ideal do Verdão.

Agora, com Veiga em rara fase de oscilação e sem Bruno Tabata, não há outra peça “pronta” no elenco que possa desempenhar esse papel como sua função de origem. Luis Guilherme poderia atuar por ali, assim como Jhon Jhon atua e tem sido usado na posição, mas ainda são jovens. Flaco López já foi testado por ali, mas é um atacante improvisado, assim como Dudu também teve sua experiência no setor em outros tempos.

Sem perspectiva de contratar uma peça para a meia nesta janela de transferências, o Palmeiras vai focar seus esforços buscando um “camisa 5” tão pedido por Abel Ferreira desde a saída de Danilo, em janeiro, para o Nottingham Forest-ING, que também não foi reposta. That is according to a report from The Mirror, who reveal that West Ham are seriously considering parting ways with Potter, following their terrible start to the Premier League season, collecting just three points from their opening five games.

Nuno Espirito Santo is named as the leading contender to replace Potter, with the former Nottingham Forest boss being dismissed by Evangelos Marinakis earlier this month, despite leading the Tricky Trees to Europe for the first time in 30 years.

The upcoming fixture against Everton is likely to be crucial in deciding Potter’s future, with the Toffees set to travel to the London Stadium next Monday night.

"Incredible" Nuno could be major upgrade on Potter

Potter has experienced success in the Premier League in the past, impressing enough at Brighton & Hove Albion to get the Chelsea job, but the 50-year-old’s performance in his last two roles leaves a lot to be desired.

During his time at Stamford Bridge, the Englishman averaged just 1.42 points per match, lasting less than seven months, before going on to struggle considerably at West Ham, receiving widespread criticism from the fans after the recent defeat against Spurs.

Nuno, on the other hand, is vastly more experienced in the Premier League, with Klopp once praising the Portuguese manager for the work he did at Wolverhampton Wanderers, saying: “Nuno’s doing an incredible job. They are a talented team, the quality is big. It’s really rare, but apart from two or three games they played exactly the same three players in the last line the whole year, that’s unbelievable.”
