يستعد بوروسيا دورتموند الألماني لمواجهة إشبيلية الإسباني مساء الثلاثاء في إياب دور الـ16 لدوري أبطال أوروبا، وهناك شكوك حول مشاركة نجمي الفريق إيرلينج هالاند وجادون سانشو.

وكان دورتموند حقق فوزًا في مباراة الذهاب بنتيجة (3-2) على ملعب رامون سانشيز بيزخوان، معقل إشبيلية.

وسيغيب جادون سانشو مهاجم بوروسيا دورتموند عن لقاء الإياب مع إشبيلية بسبب الإصابة.

وتعرض الدولي الإنجليزي لإصابة عضلية في فوز دورتموند بكأس ألمانيا على بوروسيا مونشنجلادباخ الأسبوع الماضي، وسيغيب عن الملاعب لمدة أسبوعين آخرين.

أكد مايكل زورك مدير نادي دورتموند الرياضي، بعد هزيمة فريقه 4-2 في الدوري الألماني أمام بايرن ميونخ في نهاية هذا الأسبوع.

وقال زورك في تصريحات لصحيفة “كيكر” الألمانية: “إنها خسارة كبيرة (سانشو)، خاصة بالنظر إلى اللحظة الجيدة التي يمر بها”. 

وأوضح التقرير أنه بالنسبة للنجم هالاند، سيكون جاهزًا للمباراة، رغم تعرضه للإصابة ضد بايرن ميونخ.

وسجل النرويجي هدفين في مرمى بايرن ميونخ قبل أن يتم استبداله بعد مرور ساعة، لكن المدرب إدين ترزيتش قال إنه سيكون جاهزًا للمواجهة (طالع تصريحاته).

As quoted by The Scottish Sun, Romelu Lukaku has tipped Scott McTominay to become “very important” for Scotland over the coming years.

What did he say?

The Manchester United midfielder has come through the ranks at Old Trafford, and featured in Scotland’s heavy defeat to Belgium earlier this week.

Despite the result, Lukaku has thrown his backing behind his former United teammate, and insisted he can become a major part of things at international level.

He said: “If you give Steve (Clarke) time, he will get it right. He is the right man to give young players a chance and to test them. Scott McTominay can be very important for Scotland, but he is not the only one. I think you have a lot of good talents coming through.”

Improvements

Since breaking onto the scene in the 2017/2018 campaign under Jose Mourinho, McTominay has become more and more important at United. The 22-year-old appears to be nailing down a place in central midfield under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and has shown signs of making vast improvements in his development over the past few months.

His numbers this season considerably better what he averaged in the previous campaign, and this improvement represents someone who is keen on embracing the responsibility of being a key United player.

Lining up in a holding midfield role alongside Paul Pogba, McTominay has averaged 1.5 tackles and 1.8 interceptions per game in the Premier League, compared to just 0.6 and 0.9 last year.

Further forward, the academy product continues to get more involved with the play in the final third, averaging 1.5 shots and 0.8 key passes per game this season. At the end of the previous campaign, he had averaged a measly 0.9 shots and 0.1 key passes per game.

If McTominay can keep making improvements year-in and year-out, then there is no reason why he can’t be a “very important player” for both Scotland and United too.

Real Madrid fans ended up going through some genuine drama this weekend when Levante were welcomed to Santiago Bernabeu.

Los Blancos did take all three points in the end but Zinedine Zidane’s decision to give Casemiro and Sergio Ramos their rest almost cost them the game on Saturday.

The clash couldn’t have started better for Real.

By the time the teams were sent to the locker room for half-time, the Galacticos were already 3-0 up and seemingly with another impressive victory in the bag. But Levante had other ideas.

In the second half, it was all about the guests and their efforts to claw their way back into the game, fighting to salvage a nigh-on miraculous point.

Even though they somehow managed to reduce the gap to 3-2, they just couldn’t muster enough strength for one final push and one final goal to get the draw on the night. Still, they were close and Real completely crumbled defensively in that second half.

And taking into consideration that Zidane decided to rest Casemiro and Ramos by taking them off early, it really isn’t that big of a surprise.

A risk worth taking?

Both Casemiro and Ramos were subbed off on the hour mark as Zidane didn’t want to risk them sustaining an injury. On paper, that’s fair enough.

It’s something the Frenchman acknowledged in his post-match press conference and looking at the players who are already sidelined for Real Madrid, it really didn’t seem worth the risk. But on the other hand, that single decision almost cost them the entire game.

Of course, the Galacticos conceded one goal before the duo were taken off but the remainder of the second half was extremely difficult for them as a whole. Five of Levante’s eight shots came after the substitution and resulted in one additional goal.

This becomes more visible when we take into account their contribution to the team prior to them leaving the pitch. Casemiro tallied two tackles, one interception and three clearances while Ramos had one tackle, one interception and two clearances.

Quite clearly, both were doing their part in the defensive phase of the game.

The decision to take them off weakened the XI significantly and even though Zidane was just playing it safe, it was still a substitution that almost lost them the three points on Saturday.

That they got over the line was more by luck than judgement.

قرر الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم توقيع غرامة مالية قدرها 5 آلاف جنيه على نادي الرواد بالشرقية، وإعادة مباراته أمام مركز شباب القنايات ضمن منافسات القسم الثالث.

وكانت مباراة مركز شباب القنايات والرواد قد شهدت وفاة أحد اللاعبين مما أدى لتعثر استكمال اللقاء.

وكان نادي الرواد قد تحفظ على قرار إعادة المباراة وطالب باحتسابها لصالحه 3-0، ما اعتبره الاتحاد خروجا عن الروح الرياضية وسلوكا غير رياضي.

According to the Mirror, Wolves are plotting a move for Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard following his performances whilst on loan at league rivals Real Sociedad.

What’s the word?

We might only be entering October, but that hasn’t stopped the rumour mill from being in full flow this campaign.

The latest reports suggest that the west Midlands club are planning to launch an ambitious attempt to land Odegaard sometime in 2020, whether that be in January or during the summer remains to be seen.

At the age of just 16, he clinched a move to La Liga giants Real Madrid before becoming the youngest ever player to represent them.

He’s since found it difficult to break into the first team setup considering the wealth of midfield options they have at the Bernabeu, but this season he’s particularly caught the eye for Sociedad with his two goals and two assists, via WhoScored.

Odegaard has been described as an ‘exceptional talent’ by Utrecht boss Dick Advocaat while his former Stromsgodset manager said the 20-year-old reminded him ‘a little bit of Lionel Messi’.

Long-term successor

Firstly, Wolves are playing in the Europa League which is something Sociedad cannot offer.

They also clearly have some sort of relationship with Los Blancos as they were happy enough to send Jesus Vallejo to the west Midlands for the season.

If you add to that the fact that Moutinho will be 34 as next season gets underway, this move isn’t as ambitious or surprising as first thought.

Odegaard has been widely regarded as a flop over in Madrid, which is a little unfair considering the expectations and pressure that was thrown on him at such a young age, a time when he should have been sitting his school exams, not plying his trade at one of the biggest clubs in the world.

But this season, he’s shown his electric potential with a string of excellent performances for the Whites and Blues.

In their 2-0 victory over Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid, the starlet ran the show – scoring a goal on top of recording three key passes, four crosses, and three successful dribbles, per WhoScored.

His creative exploits were only further emphasised against Deportivo Alaves just last week as he racked up an impressive 10 key passes in just one match, including one assist.

If Odegaard continues that level of form, then Madrid may well want to keep hold of him but should Wolves be able to clinch him, he could well be the long-term heir to Moutinho at Molineux.

The Portuguese playmaker was the source of eight assists in the Premier League last term and has averaged a minimum of 1.7 key passes per game across both seasons which only goes to show how integral he is to Wolves’ attacking dimension.

But as a 33-year-old, his time at the top-flight is likely to slowly diminish and acting early to find his replacement is rather smart business – Odegaard has shown this season how he could play in a similar forward-minded midfield role with his aforementioned performances.

كشف إبراهيم عبد الله عضو اللجنة المكلفة بإدارة الزمالك، عن خطة النادي لإنهاء الأزمة المالية وتوفير 640 مليون جنيه، مشيرًا إلى أنه سيتم إنشاء شركة لكرة القدم وتطبيق عبر الهاتف.

وبسؤاله ماذا فعلتم لتنمية المصادر، أجاب: “أشرف صبحي ساعدنا في الحصول على المتأخرات، وقمنا ببيع إعلانات بقيمة 16 مليونًا، والوزارة دعمتنا بـ5 ملايين جنيه”.

وأردف: “وضعنا خطة استثمارية وبدأنا في تنفيذ مشروع نادي الزمالك في أكتوبر، وهذا المشروع سيتكلف مليار ونصف المليار، ووقعنا بروتوكول مع الإنتاج الحربي، وقمنا برفع قيمة العضوية من 60 ألف إلى 120 ألف جنيه في فرع أكتوبر”.

واستطرد: “بدأنا في تنفيذ شركة كرة قدم، وتواصلنا مع 3 مستثمرين كبار، وسيدخلون كمساهمين وسيدفعون حوالي 60 مليونًا، والزمالك سيمتلك 51% من الأسهم، لن ندفع أموالا وسنطرح 20% في البورصة، وسنحصل على 600 مليون بعد إنهاء الأمور بشكل كامل”.

وأشار: “القيمة التسويقية للاعبي الزمالك حوالي مليار ونصف، وبمجرد أن ننهي المراجعة سنعرض الأمر على الجهات الإدارية وبعدها سنوقع العقود ونحصل على الـ600 مليون، وهذه الأمور ستنتهي في خلال شهر ونصف”.

واستطرد: “نادي الزمالك لا يحتاج تبرعات، نحن صنعنا تطبيق للموبايل والمناقصة طُرحت، وقبل نهاية رمضان كل زملكاوي سيستطيع تحميل تطبيق جماهير الزمالك، وهذا سيوفر لهم محتوى جديد، خبري وفيديو”.

واسترسل عضو الزمالك: “من المتوقع أن يكون دخل هذا التطبيق في العالم الحالي 40 مليون جنيه، ولم ندفع مليمًا فيه”.
