Numerous fans of West Ham United have been reacting to a post on Twitter in which Declan Rice looked back on the Hammers’ weekend draw with Arsenal.

Despite having raced into a 3-0 first half lead against Mikel Arteta’s side on Sunday, own goals from both Tomas Soucek and Craig Dawson, as well as an 82nd-minute Alexandre Lacazette strike, saw West Ham take just one point from the fixture, with the match ending 3-3.

Following the result, Rice took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the stalemate, claiming that it was a “disappointing end to such a bright performance”, before turning his attention to the remainder of West Ham’s Premier League campaign, calling for fans to “stay positive” and reassuring them that he and his team will “keep giving our all for the end goal”.

However, in reaction to Rice’s post on Twitter, plenty of West Ham fans flocked to have their say on the matter, with many appearing to ignore the England international’s advice on staying positive as they lambasted West Ham’s capitulation against the Gunners.

وجه أشرف صبحي وزير الشباب والرياضة عدة رسائل تعليقًا على خسارة منتخب مصر من نيجيريا بهدفٍ دون رد، في المباراة التي أقيمت بالأمس في بطولة كأس أمم إفريقيا 2021.

ويتواجد منتخب مصر في المجموعة الرابعة بالأمم الإفريقية إلى جانب نيجيريا والسودان وغينيا بيساو.

وقال أشرف صبحي خلال إجرائه مقابلة تليفزيونية ببرنامج “على مسئوليتي” المذاع على قناة “صدى البلد”: “غير راضٍ عن أداء منتخب مصر بالأمس أمام نيجيريا، الفترة الماضية كنا داعمين لمنتخب مصر بشكل كبير جدًا، ودورنا كإدارة يكمن في توقيت اتخاذ القرار وتوفير الظروف الملائمة”.

وأضاف: “منتخب مصر منذ كأس العالم 2018، وما زلنا نبحث فيه عن الروح وقتال اللاعبين من أجل بلدهم، وكنت مطمئنًا بعض الشيء بعد مرورنا بالبطولة العربية، لأني رأيت مجموعة من اللاعبين معظمهم محليين، ووجدت روح الكفاح متواجدة فيهم”.

وواصل: “كيروش قال إنه يخطط للوصول إلى كأس العالم ووضحنا له أن كأس أمم إفريقيا أيضًا مهمة، والمباراة الأولى في البطولات المجمعة لا تعبر عن المنتخب إذا تم تدارك الموقف”.

وتابع: “لا يوجد منطق حاليًا في تغيير الجهاز الفني لمنتخب مصر، ولا يصح أن نفعل ذلك أثناء البطولة، ويجب أن نكون صبورين وآرائنا بالفعل ستصل للجهاز الفني”.

وأردف وزير الرياضة: “حدث تواصل مع منتخب مصر بالأمس وتحدثت مع البعثة بالكامل، هناك بعض المبررات للخسارة، كلنا لا نقبل الهزيمة بعض النظر عن التفاصيل، الأداء غير مرضي للجميع، ولن نقبل بمثل ما حدث في كأس أمم إفريقيا 2019”.

واستأنف أشرف صبحي موجهًا رسالة للاعبين: “وفرنا كل الدعم لمنتخب مصر وعلى اللاعبين بذل قصارى جهدهم، أنتم في أنديتكم تبذلون قصارى جهدكم، ويجب أن تفعلوا المثل مع منتخب مصر، ونتمنى أن يختلف الأداء”.

وعن مشاجرة كيروش مع أحد المشجعين قال: “لن نتوقف عندها، الذي سيوقفنا هو الأداء وتطور اللاعبين والفوز بالبطولة، ولا يوجد لدينا رفاهية للإخفاق في المباراتين المقبلتين، لأن ذلك يعني أنك ودعت البطولة، يجب أن يكون هناك أداء رجولي بما يليق ببلدنا”.

وأتم حديثه موضحًا: راتب كيروش 90 ألف يورو فقط، وهذه الأرقام في المتوسط ومعقولة، وفي حال عدم التأهل للدور المقبل من البطولة سيكون هناك أمر آخر”.

Plenty of Crystal Palace fans have been reacting to the club’s reported interest in Wolves’ Dion Sanderson on social media.

According to Football Insider, the Eagles, along with Huddersfield Town, have joined Sheffield United in the race to sign the 21-year-old.

Sanderson is currently out on loan in the North East with Sunderland, becoming a regular under new manager Lee Johnson at the Stadium of Light in recent months.

His contract at Molineux expires in just over 12 months time, with the report claiming Sanderson could cost just £2m in the summer window.

The Englishman, who has tuned out on 22 occasions for the Eagles, is thought to be open to a move away, should his current employers decide to cash in the upcoming window.

Não podemos baixar a cabeça, é seguir na luta para vencer logo e sair desta situação.Claro que a gente sempre sonha com títulos e boas campanhas, ninguém quer rebaixamento ou fase ruim na carreira.

O que pensa da saída do diretor-executivo Gustavo Oliveira e da situação de Michel Bastos, nem sequer relacionado para o clássico?
Sempre quando o momento não é bom acontecem mudanças. Sobre o Gustavo não tenho nada a dizer, a diretoria é quem sabe. O caso do Michel deve ter sido técnico, mas também não sou eu quem deve falar sobre isso.

Qual situação é pior? A de agora ou a de 2013?
Não sei ao certo, mas daquela vez entramos na zona de rebaixamento. Temos que nos preocupar, mas só pensar em vencer o próximo jogo para sair desta situação e a zona de rebaixamento não passe mais por nossa cabeça.

وواصل: “لطالما أحببت لاعبي كريستال بالاس، دائمًا ما يكون لديهم لاعبين رائعين في الهجوم، وأيضًا في الدفاع، يملكون لاعبين رائعين حقًا، مثل كونور غالاغير وهو فتى مفعم بالحيوية”.

وتطرق كلوب للحديث عن أهمية الزخم داخل الفريق وخاصًة بعد التأهل إلى نهائي كأس رابطة المُحترفين وقال: “من الرائع أن نكون وصلنا إلى نهائي بالفعل ولا يزال هُناك وقت على نهاية الموسم”.

As principais novidades são a presença de Wesley no trio de volantes, no lugar de João Schmidt, o retorno do meia Cueva, que estava servindo a seleção peruana nas Eliminatórias, e a presença de Lyanco, substituto do machucado Rodrigo Caio na zaga. According to reports from Belgium, West Ham United could be presented with a chance to land Club Brugge attacking midfielder Hans Vanaken this summer.

According to a report by Voetbal 24 (via Sport Witness), the 28-year-old would be open to a move away from Brugge at the end of the season as he “no longer feels so appreciated” by the Jupiler Pro League side following a “disappointing” campaign.

As such, West Ham could be presented with another opportunity to land the Belgium international, having missed out on a deal for the midfielder last year, when it was claimed that Vanaken would be a dream signing for Moyes.

Should the Hammers indeed be keen to reignite their interest in the Club Brugge star this summer, it is reported that he would cost the Premier League side a fee of around €20m (£17m).

Transfer Tavern Take

While it is claimed that Vanaken feels his season has been disappointing, this would certainly not appear to be the case after looking at his statistics. The attacking midfielder has scored six goals and registered seven assists over his 27 Jupiler Pro League appearances so far this term, as well as averaging a highly impressive average SofaScore match rating of 7.47 – ranking him as Philippe Clement’s third-best performer in the Belgian top flight.

As such, it is not overly surprising to hear that Moyes felt Vanaken would be a dream addition to his options in midfield last year, nor would it be surprising to see the Hammers make a move for the 28-year-old once again this summer.

What’s the word?

According to Foot Mercato, Spurs are looking into the possibility of signing Christopher Nkunku, although they are facing major competition from their Premier League rivals, including Arsenal and Manchester United.

Interestingly, the 23-year-old midfield gem is represented by the same agent, Pini Zahavi, who brokered Jose Mourinho’s appointment in north London. He also has Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg on his books.

Spurs have been heavily linked with Nkunku’s current teammate Marcel Sabitzer, so perhaps Daniel Levy and co are assessing their options before next season.

Perfect replacement

Nkunku’s vast skillset makes for great appeal for any interested suitor, although Spurs must ensure they win the race to seal his signature as he could well be the perfect replacement for Gareth Bale, who could return to Real Madrid following his season-long loan.

The young Frenchman is able to play in a wide variety of positions, featuring in no fewer than five different roles this season alone. His best position appears to be behind the striker, so his arrival could see Lucas Moura revert back to his natural wide berth, in turn replacing Bale.

Speaking about his versatility, Leipzig coach Julien Nagelsmann – the reported number one target to succeed Mourinho in the future – told Bundesliga.com:

“Christopher can play as a box-to-box midfielder, No.10, winger, striker. He’s versatile and has real quality in attacking one-on-ones. He also fits perfectly with our transfer DNA as a young player with great potential who can take steps forward, just like us as a club. He’s hungry for success and we’re glad to have him on board.”

Last season, the former PSG whizzkid picked up a reputation of being an ‘assist king’ as he notched a tally of 15 in the league, and 16 in all competitions, as per Transfermarkt. Nkunku has since added goals to his armoury this term, providing seven strikes and eight assists across the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal and the Champions League.

Dubbed “one of the most dangerous players in the league”, the 23-year-old dynamo has certainly delivered, ranking as not only Leipzig’s star performer with an average WhoScored rating of 7.27, but he also sits in the top 15 in the Bundesliga, grading above the likes of Leon Bailey, Serge Gnabry and even Sabitzer.

The £36m-rated Nkunku would surely arrive for a far cheaper outlay than keeping Bale around for another season, especially as Levy is currently paying roughly £240,000 (40%) of his extortionate £600,000-per-week wages, as per football.london.

By comparison, it’s thought that the France under-21 international is earning just €40,000 per week (£34,000-a-week) at the Red Bull Arena, which would currently put him bottom of Spurs’ payroll.

Bale has somewhat delivered in north London, with five goals and two assists in the Premier League, but Nkunku has age and finances on his side here, if not being a complete upgrade for the long-term.

Levy could secure Spurs a perfect replacement for the Welshman this summer by swooping for the RB Leipzig sensation.
