WHAT HAPPENED?
Fulham drew Bournemouth 2-2 on Sunday as the Cottagers secured a point courtesy of a 73rd minute header from Harry Wilson off a cross from U.S. international Antonee Robinson. The American's in-swinging cross found the head of the Welsh attacker for their second goal of the match.
Fellow CONCACAF star Raul Jimenez opened the scoring for Fulham in the 40th minute before the Cherries' Evanilson drew level in the 53rd minute. An 89th minute equalizer from Bournemouth's Dango Ouattara brought them level, with the two sides sharing the spoils at the end of the day.
U.S. star Tyler Adams did not feature for the Cherries on Sunday.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Robinson has been in fine form of late, with the 27-year-old recording his fourth assist in December. Fulham, meanwhile, have gone on a spectacular stretch of late as well, with the Cottagers now unbeaten in their last seven matches, with just one loss in their last 11.
The American put on a fine performance against Bournemouth, too, completing 78 percent of his passes on the day while recording 70 touches on the ball and winning seven of 11 total ground duels.
Fulham now sit one point out of European competition, trailing fifth-place Manchester City in sixth as they head into the new year.
DID YOU KNOW?
With seven total assists across the 2024-25 Premier League season, Robinson leads the entire league in assists from defenders. He has the third-most of any player overall.

WHAT NEXT FOR ROBINSON AND FULHAM?
Fulham's calendar year has wrapped, with their next return to the pitch coming in 2025. The Cottagers will also look to see if they can improve their squad this January in the winter transfer market, while Robinson himself will look to evaluate his options.
The U.S. star has been heavily linked with a move away from Craven Cottage, with league leaders Liverpool recently emerging as a potential suitor.

Two more Arsenal players are in ongoing talks to leave the Emirates Stadium with Emile Smith Rowe, who is said to be on the verge of a move to Fulham.
Smith Rowe close to joining Fulham from Arsenal in £35 million deal
The Hale End academy graduate, thanks partly to a knee injury last season, played just 347 minutes in the Premier League last season and started just three of his 13 top-flight appearances under Mikel Arteta.

Smith Rowe, who scored 10 league goals and registered a further two assists for Arsenal during the 2021/2022 season, his best campaign to date, also found himself competing with a host of star attackers to regain his place in Arteta's first team.
The Englishman has been heavily linked with a summer exit as a result, despite just how highly-rated he is in north London. Reliable journalist Charles Watts said earlier this week that Arsenal are reluctantly prepared to sell Smith Rowe for the right offer, and allow him to gain minutes elsewhere.
Arteta would ideally like to keep Smith Rowe at the club, but the attacking midfield ace is keen to play regular football and that is something which Arsenal cannot guarantee.

“In an ideal world, Mikel Arteta would keep Smith Rowe," said Watts.
"This time last year he made it clear that he would not be sold and I think his stance would be the same this time around if it was just down to a footballing decision. But Smith Rowe now has just two years left on his contract and has a strong desire to be playing regular football having sat on the bench for much of the last two seasons.
"So Arsenal would reluctantly let him leave should a good offer arrive from Fulham, Palace or anyone else."
Following on from that update, that desired bid appears to have arrived from Craven Cottage. As reported by The Guardian and other reliable media sources, Smith Rowe is now closer to joining Fulham in a £35 million deal, which would be a club-record fee for Marco Silva's side.
Fulham are believed to be confident of wrapping up an agreement soon, but Smith Rowe isn't the only player who could be departing London Colney in the near future.
Eddie Nketiah and Reiss Nelson in talks to leave Arsenal
According to talkSPORT, both Eddie Nketiah and Reiss Nelson are both actively attempting to find a new club as well.
The duo, on a combined £200,000-per-week, also found themselves struggling for consistent places in Arteta's starting lineups last season – and have been regularly tipped for the exit door before deadline day on August 30.
It is believed both Nketiah and Nelson are both in talks to leave Arsenal with Smith Rowe, but talkSPORT don't expand on which sides they are in discussions with. Nketiah has attracted serious interest from Marseille recently, with some reports claiming terms have been agreed, while Nelson has been a target for West Ham.
Ipswich Town have shown this transfer window already that they are unafraid to splash the cash to try and stay in the Premier League this forthcoming season.
Omari Hutchinson joining from Chelsea broke the long-standing Tractor Boys transfer record, whilst the riches of the Suffolk club were there for all to see again, with the captures of both Jacob Greaves and Liam Delap recently, as the former Manchester City striker cost a rumoured £20m to snap up.
Ipswich won't stop there when it comes to adding in lavish new recruits this summer, however, as this sharpshooter is now reportedly eyed up by the powers that be at Portman Road.
Ipswich in talks with Championship golden boot winner
According to a report by Ipswich-oriented website TWTD, the newly promoted side are setting their sights on Blackburn Rovers star Sammie Szmodics as their next major signing, with the Tractor Boys in talks with the electric forward.
Szmodics is just fresh off a deadly season in front of goal in the Championship, which saw him ultimately be crowned as the top scorer in the division, which has resulted in many a suitor now sniffing around to try and claim his services.
Sammie Szmodics
Everton are even a reported admirer of the former Peterborough United man, who shocked the second tier last campaign with his prolific nature when firing home goal after goal, considering he isn't even an out-and-out striker, and more of an attacking midfielder.
He could take Conor Chaplin's fixed position off him in Kieran McKenna's XI, therefore, if he is to be signed, with the Tractor Boys boss already displaying his cut-throat nature when it comes to loyalties involving his previous key first-teamers, as Arijanet Muric is now being lined up to join as the new first choice goalkeeper after Vaclav Hladky's exit.
What Szmodics can offer Ipswich
As can be seen by watching the clip above, Szmodics operated as a quick and direct player last season for the Riversiders in a constant devastating fashion, ready to finish off any chance handed to him with precision.
The "dangerous" attacker – as he was labelled by football journalist Josh Bunting for his unerring ability to fire home under pressure – bagged a ridiculous 27 goals last campaign in the league. As a result, he acted as a regular source of light for his side, with the Lancashire outfit slumping to a disappointing 19th-placed finish overall.

Side-by-side next to Chaplin's numbers for Ipswich, who were competing at the opposite end of the division, Szmodics' output for the campaign looks even more impressive.
Far outperforming his xG, alongside missing a staggering 17 big chances that could have made his 27-goal haul even more hefty, the 28-year-old could make McKenna's men even more feared going forward when making the mammoth step-up to the Premier League.
Chaplin might well be viewed as the more creative one out of the attacking midfield duo, but Szmodics would no doubt take the Ipswich number ten's place in starting line-ups to come regardless, owing to his breakout season just gone.
Reportedly available for a fee in the region of £6m too, it wouldn't be a signing that dents the Ipswich bank catastrophically either.
Therefore, it could be another statement signing that is sanctioned shortly, as McKenna continues to build what he hopes is a Premier League calibre starting eleven.
Ipswich could land instant Morsy upgrade in 85-cap free agent this summer
He would bring plenty of experience to Kieran McKenna’s ranks.
BCCI president was admitted to a Kolkata hospital on Wednesday after complaining of “chest discomfort”
ESPNcricinfo staff28-Jan-2021Former India captain and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly is “stable and under close observation” after undergoing another angioplasty, this time at the Apollo Gleneagles hospital in Kolkata, on Thursday. Ganguly had been admitted to the hospital on Wednesday after complaining of “chest discomfort”.”Dr. Aftab Khan and the team comprising Dr. Ashwin Mehta, Dr. Devi Shetty, Dr. Ajit Desai, Dr.Saroj Mondal and Dr. Saptarishi Basu successfully performed angioplasty on Mr. Saurav Ganguly at the Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals, Kolkata on January 28, 2021 and two stents were placed,” a statement from the hospital said. “The procedure was uneventful. Mr. Ganguly is stable and under close observation.”Earlier in the month, Ganguly had been admitted to the city’s Woodlands Hospital for treatment for a similar complaint, later described as a heart attack by doctors. He was said to have recovered after the first angioplasty. The MD and CEO of Woodlands Hospital, Dr Rupali Basu, had said at the time that Ganguly had no known comorbidities, but a family history of heart diseases, and that he had tested negative for Covid-19. His brother, former Bengal cricketer and current Cricket Association of Bengal joint secretary Snehasish Ganguly, underwent a successful angioplasty last week, also at the Apollo Gleneagles Hospital. One of the expert consultants, renowned cardiologist Dr Devi Shetty, had said during the discharge that Ganguly had no heart damage.”Did he have a heart damage? No. He had a blockage and he was getting some discomfort, but at the right time he landed in the right hospital and he had the right treatment,” Shetty had said at the time. “His heart is today as strong as it was when Sourav was 20 years old. I want everyone to understand that he didn’t have a major cardiac event which has damaged his heart. He has a very, very strong heart.”

Dutchman after Dalot missed sitter vs West Ham
Full-back has welcomed new coach

WHAT HAPPENED?
Dalot is the first of likely United players to welcome Amorim to Old Trafford. The Portuguese full-back appears excited to work with his countryman having been in and out of the team under Ten Hag. Dalot was heavily criticised for missing an open goal in Red Devils' Premier League loss to West Ham last weekend but appears to have already put the incident behind him.

WHAT DALOT SAID
In an interview with, Dalot said of Amorim: "He's obviously a fantastic coach, young mentality but he knows what he wants. Very demanding, that's what I can expect and I think that's a perfect match for a club like this. The standards are really high. I hope it can be a really good match and I wish for us to win together.
"The Premier League really suits people from Portugal. It's been all over the years that Portuguese managers and players coming to England and being successful, so I really hope it's one more case and I am really excited to start working with him. We are going to be a team. We have to work with each other and we will help him in some ways and I am sure he will help us."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Dalot may well benefit from the system Amorim deploys. He favours a three-at-the-back formation with wing-backs, meaning Dalot could slot in as one of the three centre-backs or on the flank. He has played as both a left and right-back under Ten Hag as well as centrally when needed there. His versatility is very likely to suit the new head coach.

WHAT NEXT FOR DALOT & MAN UTD?
Most United players may not meet with their head coach until after the next international break. Although Amorim officially joins on November 11, players like Dalot will be jetting off to represent their countries and will have to get up to speed quickly when they return to face Ipswich on November 24.
Chelsea could now offer up a player who they only just signed last year in potential swap deal talks for Crystal Palace star Michael Olise.
Chelsea make approach to sign Olise alongside Duran
Earlier this week, Enzo Maresca's side kickstarted negotiations to bring young Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran to Stamford Bridge, as widely reported by a multitude of reliable media outlets.
Fabrizio Romano: Chelsea agree another signing amid Duran talks, deal done
The west Londoners are moving quickly.
ByEmilio Galantini Jun 13, 2024
Fabrizio Romano says discussions between Chelsea and Villa remain ongoing as they look to shake hands on a deal, but it is believed that the Midlands side want players included in any potential move. Duran wants to make the move to west London, though, and he is apparently prioritising Chelsea over joining other clubs who are also in the race for him (Fabrizio Romano).
As co-Chelsea sporting directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley lead the club's pursuit of transfer targets, they're firmly in the chase for Duran, but it's also been reported that an approach was made for Palace winger Olise this week as well.

Chelsea are said to have contacted Selhurst Park chiefs over the 22-year-old's availability (The Guardian), with his contract including a very complicated £60 million release clause. Reports have suggested that Olise is very keen on making the move to Chelsea, coming after another excellent Premier League season across London.
The attacker, who spent a good portion of last season out injured, resumed the norm upon his return to action. Olise dazzled under new manager Oliver Glasner towards the end of last campaign, helping Palace finish 2023/2024 in very strong fashion.
"He has that killer instinct, he has that arrogance – in the right way – to go about the game," said teammate Joel Ward.
"For such a young talent, he’s got a very wise head on him. He’s very tactically astute, he wants to learn, he wants to develop and you can see that he’s got that desire to go and make things happen. When you need him to grab a game by the scruff of the neck, he does that, and he takes it upon himself to go and be the difference.”
While his deal includes a £60m exit clause, there are murmurs this may not be valid for Chelsea. Indeed, Olise's clause is apparently only valid for sides who qualified for the Champions League next season, so Maresca's men could end up having to pay more.
Chelsea could offer Madueke in swap deal for Olise
As such, the Blues could look for ways to drive his price down, and a player-plus-cash offer is on the cards.
Raheem Sterling has come up in talks between Palace and Chelsea over Olise, but another nominee has emerged in the form of 2023 signing Noni Madueke.
Noni Madueke
That is according to The Guardian and journalist Jacob Steinberg, who claimed on Friday evening that Madueke could be offered to Palace in Chelsea negotiations for Olise this summer.
Chelsea signed the 22-year-old from PSV Eindhoven for around £30 million in January last year, and he's gone on to make 46 appearances in all competitions. In that time, he's racked up nine goals and three assists.

Glasgow Rangers boss Philippe Clement and head of recruitment Nils Koppen look set for a busy summer of business in the upcoming transfer window.
They have already moved to sign Brazilian left-back Jefte from Fluminense on a permanent deal to bolster their defensive options, and are also closing in on a deal to sign centre-back Jose Cordoba from Levski Sofia.
The Panama international is poised to put pen to paper on a permanent move to Ibrox this week and Clement has also decided to retain veteran defender Leon Balogun, who has signed a one-year contract extension.
Rangers defender Leon Balogun.
This means that Rangers are set to have one more centre-back in their squad next season, with Connor Goldson, John Souttar, and Ben Davies already on the books.
With this in mind, the Belgian head coach must brutally bin young defender Leon King from the squad as he would likely be sent further down the pecking order.
Why Leon King should be ditched this summer
The Daily Record reported ahead of the January window that Clement was prepared to send him out on loan for the second half of the season, as he could not guarantee the youngster game time.
A move did not materialise for the Scotland youth international, though, and he went on to play just three games in all competitions after the turn of the year, two of which came as a starter.

As you can see in the table above, the 20-year-old starlet ended the 2023/24 campaign with just five league appearances under his belt in the Scottish Premiership.
King, who was once described as a "Rolls Royce" by ex-Gers full-back Alan Hutton, is not benefitting from sitting on the bench or in the stands most weeks, rather than playing week-in-week-out at first-team level, as he is not gaining experience on the pitch.
Glasgow Rangers defender Leon King.
This is why Clement must brutally bin the £8k-per-week defender from the squad this summer, whether that is on loan or on a permanent basis, due to the lack of game time facing him next season.
Why Cordoba and Balogun deals are bad news for King
He was below Daves, Balogun, who has just signed a new deal, Souttar, and Balogun already in the pecking order, and may now be behind Cordoba as well.
The new deal for the Nigerian defender could mean that he remains ahead of King, given that the 35-year-old colossus played nine more league matches and almost 900 more minutes in total this season.
Former Rangers defender Leon Balogun.
Meanwhile, it would be odd for Rangers to sign a 22-year-old centre-back, in Cordoba, and not have him in mind to be playing regularly, or at least in the mix to start.
The Panama international played 29 league games for Levski Sofia during the 2023/24 campaign and made 4.4 interceptions per game to go along with an aerial duel success rate of 64%.
Clement can forget all about Sima with Rangers swoop for £3.5m star
The Light Blues are reportedly keen on a deal to sign the “superb” winger this summer.
ByDan Emery May 28, 2024
Meanwhile, King made zero interceptions and lost a staggering 83% of his aerial duels across five appearances in the Premiership this term.
This does not suggest that the Scottish youngster has the quality to step up and play ahead of the new signing, whilst already being behind the other four centre-backs at the club, and that is why Clement must brutally bin him from the team this summer.
